Academic Support

Over the years we have run Aftercare programs after school, to provide academic & emotional support, extra care and feeding to the learners. Our learners are free to come to our offices in the afternoons and have access to computer-based assistance with school work/ projects, with the Youth Workers.

Due to the abysmal education system in our country and the very poor level of literacy amongst our learners, we run extra academic lessons from Monday – Thursday afternoons, using the Neema Foundation’s “Gateway to Reading Program”.

Wednesday afternoon is run by volunteers and focuses on both literacy and mathematical skills. The need, however, is huge and should you be able to assist with this, please contact our office.
